A Wolf in the Mail

Isto estava hoje na caixa do correio (aka corredor).
Não é lindo o lobinho? E era só o início de uma bela surpresa.
Foi a Jessica Gowling que me mandou.

O quê e que mais? Ora bem, aqui.

If you don't speak portuguese and you're trying to read the post, well, I have two choices for you: google translate it or check out my blog post at my other-deign-related-stuff blog.
Tks for coming by anyway.

Won't let the city destroy our love

Depois de dois dias MUITO cansativos em serigrafia, não há nada como um vídeo novo do meu lindo Patrick Wolf♥. Para mais informação acerca dos prints, SAY WHAT.

After two very exhausting days at the screen printing studio, there's nothing like a new video from my Patrick Wolf ♥. For more information about the prints, SAY WHAT.

Say What - New Blog

This is my brand new blog! It will be used [mostly] for college-related posts, so yeah no more of that here unless I really like what's going on that specific post. This is such a relief for me.
Now go and check it out. [new url soon]

Liberated Press

I've been featured on The Liberated Press, issue #2 with the design I posted here a few months ago [link].
This is a very cool project promoted by Liberty Studio "We're not posh we are arts and crafts."

Anyone can submit their work and it doesn't have to be necessarily a design piece. On their website you can read that "The Liberated Press is a lovingly created free quarterly lo-fi mode of communication that aims to celebrate creativity with a truly independent and rebellious spirit. Inspired by 60’s & 70’s underground counter culture, zines and handmade revolutionary propaganda, our aim is simple; to create a periodical that is subversive, collectible & coveted. A platform for emerging talent, providing space for writers, artists and designers to explore their creativity in print. Computers are used sparingly. We still have the blisters on our hands to prove it".

I was one of the five students from London College of Communication that were featured in this issue, including Eurico and other two people from the second year of our course.
You can get your free copy at Liberty and:

Ditto Press // Risograph

And this is how far I got on the Ditto Press project.
Not far, I know, guess i'm just trying some typography tests though it's pretty much certain that this big fat chocking promo letters won't be featured on the final piece. Part of the research I'd say.
I'm really excited about the project being the print and illustration passionate that I am. But I'm not really feeling how the workshops we're doing at lcc will help us throughout the project. From what I'm seeing it's demotivating a lot of people involved which is pretty sad since this is one really interesting project.

poster by Kate Moross printed at Ditto

For those who don't really know what I'm talking about: I'm supposed to do a piece of design for a small printing company called Ditto Press which uses a risograph machine. The goal of this piece is to demonstrate the possibilities of the machine, from colours to detail quality and at the same time represent the style of the company itself.
